About Dr. Patricia Berube, DMD, MS, CFMD, FIAOMT

Dr. Patricia Berube integrates cutting edge procedures and technology to her practice and is a pioneer in her field, incorporating both Western and Eastern approaches to care. She has advanced training in minimally invasive surgical techniques and laser procedures and is Board Certified in Periodontics. The practice has evolved to specialize even further in techniques in biological dentistry, ceramic implantology, periodontal plastic surgery and Functional Periodontics , which is a growing concept to include how to best support the body as a whole. Dr. Berube has been continually recognized by her peers and patients and along with recognition by SuperDentists and America's Best Dentists, she continually works to help shift the paradigm to using materials and methods that are healthier and longer lasting for the patient.

Dr. Patricia Berube was born in Danbury, Connecticut. After graduating from Danbury High School with honors, she completed her undergraduate education at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona resulting in cum laude honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. After working in a private practice for a year as a dental assistant and office manager, she entered dental school at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. She received the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, along with the Quintessence Award in Periodontics and the Fox Award, given to the "student judged to be the best all-around in the class".

She immediately entered the three-year postdoctoral Periodontics program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, which has the reputation of being the best periodontal residency in the country. She was admitted to candidacy for the Master of Science degree at the Graduate School of BioMedical Sciences. Dr. Berube successfully completed the Advanced Education program in Periodontics and Implantology along with a Master of Science degree in Periodontics.

After finishing her residency program, she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology.

After practicing in Boston, she moved back to Texas. Dr. Berube currently lives in the area with her husband and their two boys. In her spare time, Dr. Berube enjoys fine dining, reading, lifestyle medicine and traveling.
